Description

Kraken is building upon the success of previous ThunderFish AUV projects with the development of the next generation of the ThunderFish platform. This project will focus on the development and testing of the ThunderFish XL, which will be a 6,000m rated autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) capable of performing survey and inspection missions as a permanent subsea resident AUV. The primary objective of the SeaResT project is to develop the technology necessary to transit AUV operations from purely surface based launch and recovery to subsea resident operations.

The purpose of IRAP Contributions to Firms is to support research, development, adoption and/or adaptation of innovative or technology-driven new or improved products, services or processes in Canada up to their commercialization
