Description
An image processing software suite named FiberX has recently been developed by Expanse to characterize short and long glass and carbon fiber composites utilizing microscale computed tomography (CT) inspection. The project will involve testing and improvements to the algorithms that allow more efficient user operation and capabilities that extend the tools applicability to a larger market.
Expected Results
The purpose of IRAPs Youth Employment Program - Green is to assist in increasing the supply of highly qualified people, promoting the benefits of advanced studies, demonstrating federal leadership by investing in the skills required to meet the needs of the green economy and facilitating the transition of highly skilled young people to a rapidly changing labour market.
