Description

The proposed project involves design and stepwise development of fully integrated, decentralized, low carbon electric power generation units based on SBIs proprietary hydrogen generation technology for use in transportation and in other decentralized power generation. The units are designed to operate in remote locations having no power grid or a natural gas, hydrogen gas or fuel pipelines. This technology is planned to meet hydrogen production rate requirement for 5 kW to 60 kW fuel cell power output. The proposed technology converts ethanol into hydrogen on-site (used in fuel cell immediately after it is produced), which eliminates need to store and transports hydrogen at high pressure.
