Develop a novel high energy density, flexible (long and short duration storage) and scalable redox flow battery technology based on the concept of carbon dioxide (CO2)-to-electricity conversion that simultaneously enables large-scale deployment of renewables and direct reduction of CO2-emissions, hence supporting the energy transition to a low-carbon industrial economy.
