Description

Announced in December 2019, Capital Power is progressing its plans to construct a carbon capture and conversion facility known as the Genesee Carbon Conversion Centre (GC3) (the Project). GC3 will use innovative technology developed by Carbon Corp to capture carbon dioxide (CO2) from the flue gas at Genesee Unit 3 and through an electrolysis process, create high-quality carbon nanotubes (CNTs). This project requires to undertake an extensive FEED study which is Carbon Corps team's central task.

The purpose of IRAP Contributions to Firms is to support research, development, adoption and/or adaptation of innovative or technology-driven new or improved products, services or processes in Canada up to their commercialization
