Project Description

This project aims to develop a renewed Global Strategy to guide efforts on women’s children’s and adolescent health. This strategy builds on the Global Strategy for Women’s and Children’s Health that expires in 2015. Project activities includes support to: (1) the dissemination of the progress report on the Global Strategy for Women’s and Children’s Health; (2) the drafting of the new Global Strategy; (3) multi-stakeholder consultations on the new Global Strategy; and (4) the launch of the Global Strategy and accompanying implementation plan in September 2015.

Expected Results

The expected results of a renewed Global Strategy include: (1) increased political and financial support for women’s and children’s health; and (2) reduced incidence of maternal newborn and child deaths in developing countries.
