Nuclear and Radiological Security—Technical support from the Canada Border Services Agency

This project focuses on providing technical support from the Canada Border Services Agency to increase the capabilities of international border guards and security agencies to prevent detect and respond to security incidents involving the illicit trafficking of nuclear or radiological material. Project activity includes providing technical expertise and guidance at multilateral workshops and consultancy meetings organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency on improving nuclear detection techniques.

The expected outcome of this project includes improved ability of border guard security agencies globally to detect identify and respond to the illicit trafficking of nuclear or radiological materials.
