Project Description
Under the DFATD - Canadian Red Cross Strategic Partnership the organizations have committed to collaborating on several new initiatives to increase Canada’s capacity to provide timely and effective assistance to populations facing crises as well as to build the capacity and resiliency of communities to support local responses to local emergencies. The Strategic Partnership is structured around three distinct but complementary areas of work or “pillars”: Pillar I) Enhancing Emergency Response; Pillar II) Building Strong National Societies; Pillar III) Engaging Canadians. In total six discrete projects will be implemented under the Strategic Partnership This project will be used to undertake monitoring and evaluation activities for Pillar I and Pillar II projects to ensure that expected outcomes are met as well as to provide project management recommendations if the initiatives are experiencing challenges.
Expected Results
The expected project result is enhanced emergency response for crisis-affected population. The expected ultimate outcomes are lives saved suffering alleviated and human dignity maintained in countries experiencing humanitarian crisis or acute food insecurity.
