Project Description

This project provides technical support from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to strengthen international law enforcement competencies and capacities to prevent detect and respond to security incidents involving nuclear or radiological materials. Project activity includes providing technical and operational expertise guidance and training at multilateral workshops exercises and technical meetings focused on responding to nuclear and radiological security incidents.

The expected outcome of this project includes improved ability of law enforcement agencies to prevent detect and respond to security incidents involving nuclear or radiological materials.

Progress & Results Achieved

Results achieved at the end of the project (March 2023) include: the royal canadian mounted Police who provided technical and operational expertise to support international law enforcement training exercises. The international criminal police Organization held the exercises focused on responding to nuclear and radiological security incidents.
