Project Description
This project provides technical support from the Bruce Power Corporation to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Centre for Energy. It seeks to increase its capabilities to develop a standardized regional approach to nuclear power development and nuclear and radiological security. Project activities include providing technical expertise and guidance at the 8th Nuclear Energy Cooperation Sub Sector Network meeting and Capacity Building Workshop on Sustainable Nuclear Safety and Security organized by the ASEAN Centre for Energy.
Expected Results
The expected outcome of this project includes the improved ability of ASEAN Member States to plan for nuclear power development and address safety and security considerations.
Progress & Results Achieved
Result achieved by the Bruce Power Corporation through the support of the Government of Canada in (April 2018) include the provision of subject matter expertise at the meeting in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia from March 7 to 9 2018.
