Project Description

This project provides subject-matter experts from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and from the Department of Justice to increase nuclear and radiological security globally. Project activity include providing expert guidance to multilateral workshops exercises and planning meetings organized by the Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism.

Expected Results

The expected outcome of this project include increased knowledge by Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism member countries of international best practices to prevent detect and respond to acts of nuclear terrorism.

Progress & Results Achieved

Results achieved as of the end of the project (March 2019) include: (1) the participation of subject-matter experts from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Department of Justice in the Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism tabletop exercise “Resolute Sentry ” hosted by Canada and the United Kingdom in January 2019.
