Project Description

This project aims to strengthen Mexico's Customs Administration Service capacities to detect and interdict illicit cargos of nuclear or radiological materials in its Southern Border Region. Project activities include: (1) providing radiation and identification equipment; and (2) providing training to personnel on the operation and maintenance of the equipment.

Expected Results

The expected outcome for this project is the effective operation and maintenance of radiation detection and identification equipment by personnel of Mexico's Customs Administration Service deployed in its Southern Border Region.
