Project Description
This project aims to support sustainable biosafety and biosecurity in Nigeria through the provision of a two-year maintenance contract for a Canadian-funded biobank and laboratory (the ‘Facility’) in Lagos State. Project activities include: (1) Servicing and certification of the Facility; and (2) training to laboratory personnel on the Facility maintenance.
Expected Results
The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) Improved long-term sustainability of the Lagos State Facility; and (2) reduced access of biological-related materials to non-state actors.
Progress & Results Achieved
Results achieved as of July 2022 include the delivery of planned maintenance and servicing of the Facility.
