Project Description

This project supports the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to respond to assess and provide definitive information on chemical weapons incidents. Project activities include: (1) supporting the OPCW’s Trust Fund for Special Missions to help identify the perpetrators of chemical weapons attacks in Syria; (2) supporting the security safety and technical upgrades of existing OPCW facilities; and (3) providing funding to support chemical profiling and forensics to facilitate chemical weapons attribution.

Expected Results

The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) enhanced ability of the OPCW to conduct and implement investigative and attribution operations related to chemical weapons use verification and monitoring; and (2) increased security safety and capabilities of the OPCW.
