Project Description
This project aims to strengthen Jordan's capacity to detect and prevent the illicit trafficking of nuclear or radiological materials at the King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba Jordan. Project activities include: (1) conducting comprehensive engineering surveys of the sites; (2) undertaking consultation and ensuring the agreement of site stakeholders; and (3) developing detailed design plans for the placement and installation of radiation detection equipment at these two sites.
Expected Results
The expected outcome of this project is the delivery to Jordan’s Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission of detailed design plans for the placement and installation of radiation detection equipment at the King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba.
