Project Description

This project aims to strengthen the Colombian National Police’s capability to detect and respond to attempts to traffic illicit cargos of nuclear or radiological materials through Colombia’s major seaports and airports. Project activities include training Colombian National Police personnel on the operation and maintenance of the equipment.

Expected Results

The expected outcome of this project is the improved capacity of the Colombian National Police to detect and respond to attempts to traffick illicit cargos of nuclear or radiological materials travelling through Colombia’s major seaports and airports.

Progress & Results Achieved

Results achieved as of the end of the project (December 2022) include improved knowledge and skills of 34 personnel of the Colombian National Police for the operation and maintenance of the equipment.
