Support to the Sectoral Gender Strategy of the Armed Forces of Senegal

This project contributes to the implementation of the Sectoral Gender Strategy of the Armed Forces of Senegal. The activities seek to strengthen the consideration of gender and the perception of gender equality in the armed forces in order to have an institution where both men and women work in a fair and equal manner to effectively execute peace operations for the benefit of the nation.

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) creation of a baseline for gender in the Armed Forces of Senegal; (2) increased promotion of the integration of the protection and support mechanism for gender-based discrimination in the cells and divisions of the armed forces; and (3) development of context-specific messages that meet the specific needs of women in the Armed Forces of Senegal.
