Supporting Civic Engagement and Civil Society in Belarus

The project aims to support democratic rights and civil liberties in Belarus. The European Endowment for Democracy (EED) provides flexible and demand-driven grants to civil society organizations and groups in Belarus to empower democratic activism through this project. This project places emphasis on supporting the role of women in leading political media and civic initiatives. Project activities include: (1) conducting outreach activities with local actors; (2) contracting and disbursing sub-grants; and (3) monitoring sub-grant implementation and results.

The expected outcome for this project includes the strengthened diversity effectiveness and sustainability of pro-democracy actors and activism in Belarus.
