Project Description

This project aims to strengthen Canadian global leadership in supporting the needs of developing countries including small island developing states (SIDS) and coastal least developed countries (LDCs) in advancing sustainable ocean economies. Specifically it would assist developing countries in producing sustainable ocean plans (or Blue Economy Strategies) in alignment with HLP leaders’ commitment to sustainably manage 100% of the ocean area under their national jurisdiction by 2025. PROBLUE as a trusted and leading partner in advancing blue economies in developing countries is well positioned to deliver this funding.
