Project Description
This project aims to strengthen the capabilities and effectiveness of personnel of Jordan's Gendarmerie in providing security at Jordan's Research and Training Reactor. Project activities include: (1) providing training to Gendarmerie personnel; (2) providing radiation detection identification equipment and personal protective equipment; and (3) providing tools equipment and logistical support to indigenize the Gendarmerie's ability to sustain its own training program
Expected Results
The expected outcome for this project is the deployment of a more effective better-trained guard force at Jordan's Research and Training Reactor.
Progress & Results Achieved
Results achieved as of the end of the project (August 2021) include: (1) delivered seven training events and one field exercise; (2) provided emergency response equipment (for example personal protective equipment radioactive material handling equipment radiation detection equipment); and (3) constructed a scale model “Battle Board" to serve as a training and planning aid for Gendarmerie personnel.
