Project Description
This project supports activities that respond to the COVID-19 pandemic in Mozambique. This project contributes to the Mozambican Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 surveillance efforts. Project activities include: (1) supporting travel costs of central level Ministry of Health teams to provinces; (2) providing training on surveillance using the COVID-19 data platform and new COVID-19 monitoring forms for healthcare works; and (3) conducting preliminary analysis of data collected at provincial levels.
Expected Results
The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) improved institutionalized collection of quality and timely gender and environmentally sensitive data on the availability and readiness of health facilities and sexual and reproductive health services including family planning services; and (2) improved performance by the Ministry of Health in using evidence for gender-sensitive planning and resource allocation for essential health services including sexual and reproductive health services.
