Support to Maritime Tactical Operations Group Training in Tunisia - 2018

This project aims to increase Tunisian capabilities to deal with potential terrorist threats while building upon the training from the first training iteration in 2017 to specifically address Tunisian capability gaps in maritime security. Project activities include: (1) facilitating a strategic liaison meeting between the Department of National Defence staff and Tunisian staff; (2) conducting an updated needs assessment visit to Tunisia; (3) completing the 2018 training plans based on the results of the updated needs assessment; and (4) conducting a Capability Development visit comprised of 6 Maritime Tactical Operations Group personnel alongside Tunisian military personnel.

The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) increased capability to respond to terrorist attacks on behalf of the Tunisian military; (2) improved knowledge of regional terrorist threats; and (3) improved regional collaboration
