Project Description
The project is a comprehensive analysis of the situation of persons with albinism in Mozambique. The project aims to provide a foundation for evidence-based and informed policies and interventions to increase the protection of the human rights of persons with albinism based on their real situation and existing needs within the current legal and social framework in the country.
Expected Results
The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) relevant governmental and non-governmental stakeholders are aware about the situation of persons with albinism in Mozambique with regard to the factors impeding the full enjoyment of human rights of persons with albinism; and (2) Mozambican law enforcement and judiciary have an improved capacity to identify investigate and prosecute crimes against persons with albinism including human trafficking.
