Project Description

This project utilizes a series of quantifiable and qualitative indicators to independently assess the post-election climate in Zimbabwe. More specifically indicators evaluate whether Zimbabwe is beginning to foster civic spaces for citizens to exercise their political rights and/or supports gender equality and the empowerment of marginalized women and girls.

Expected Results

The expected results for this project include: (1) GAC’s ability to make informed evidence-based decisions regarding the Canadian policy toward Zimbabwe is enhanced; and (2) Canada’s capacity to engage in effective policy discussions with domestic and international stakeholders is improved.
