Project Description
The project funds an innovative business incubation hub aimed at supporting young women entrepreneurs in Tanzania (between the ages of 19 and 30) with mentoring coaching and life skills training as well as providing collaborative workspaces. The Ndoto Hub also aims to use technological platforms to reach young women.
Expected Results
The expected results of this project include: (1) 2 440 young women who have received coaching and other support from the Hub are more assertive as young entrepreneurs; (2) up to 80% of them have a stronger and more stable business in place; and (3) young women entrepreneurs are well prepared to submit fundign requests to financial institutions.
Progress & Results Achieved
Results achieved as of the end of the project (March 2022) include: (1) built the capacity of more than 300 women entrepreneurs by providing them with personal and professional development knowledge to establish sustainable businesses; (2) enabled 380 young women entrepreneurs to become assertive leaders by providing personal and professional development coaching and mentoring; and (3) developed and promoted 100 business plans for women entrepreneurs.
