Project Description

This project is financing a study to help the Mozambican Ministry of Education better understand the main causes of the high drop-out rates and absenteeism of girls and boys in primary schools in Mozambique. An in-depth analysis of the different contributing factors at the individual school and community levels help identify options to address the problem especially for girls who have a lower completion rate than boys. This study designed in consultation with the Ministry and its findings contribute to Mozambique's post-2019 Education Strategic Plan.
