June 2018 – On August 25 2017 violence broke out in Rakhine State Myanmar resulting in a massive influx of refugees into neighbouring Bangladesh. As of June 14 2018 more than 721 000 women men boys and girls have crossed into the region of Cox’s Bazar Bangladesh. With GAC’s support Save the Children Canada (SCC) and World Vision Canada (WVC) are jointly helping to respond to the immediate needs of refugees in Cox’s Bazar including the specific needs of women and children.
