Project Description
This project aims to provide mediation support on an urgent basis in response to emerging crises in order to prevent conflicts from escalating or in response to a window of opportunity in ongoing conflicts. This project supports the Center for Humanitarian Dialogue’s (HD) ability to undertake early-warning analysis engage with existing networks and provide surge response. This project is designed to be responsive in nature; HD intervenes in situations where its expertise is most likely to have a beneficial impact. HD is a private diplomacy organization founded on the principles of humanity impartiality and independence. Its mission is to help prevent mitigate and resolve armed conflict through dialogue and mediation.
Expected Results
The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) more effective early warning of pending crises that lead to improved design of surge responses taking into consideration views of women and men; and (2) the effective deployment of surge responses.
