Project Description
This project aims to support the attendance of up to 30 researchers from developing countries (including DFATD countries of focus) and from institutions based in those countries to attend the Global Development Network (GDN)'s Annual Conference. The conference is organized around one major theme: Agriculture for Sustainable Growth: Challenges and Opportunities for a new “Green Revolution” and is well aligned with DFATD's priority themes of increasing food security and stimulating sustainable economic growth. Beneficiaries include local researchers policy makers and development practitioners in developing countries. Project activities include: (1) participation of developing country researchers policymakers and experts at the GDN Annual Conference; and (2) interaction among participants during conference sessions and events.
Expected Results
The expected intermediate outcomes for this project include: (1) an increase in knowledge-sharing of conference theme and use of knowledge by conference participants; and (2) increased networking among participants.
