Project Description
This project aims to ensure a successful outcome of the Third International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD). Formal intergovernmental negotiations on FfD have been ongoing since January 2015 and are leading up to the third International Conference on Financing for Development which will take place in Addis Ababa Ethiopia in July 2015.The success and legitimacy of the negotiation process depends on active and regular participation on behalf of all stakeholders in particular those from developing countries. The project provides funding to a dedicated Financing for Development trust fund that supports: (1) the participation of developing country representatives in particular low-income and lower-middle-income countries in all meetings of the intergovernmental negotiation process; and (2) outreach and communications activities for the Conference.
Expected Results
The expected intermediate outcomes for this project include: (1) increased participation of developing country (in particular least developed countries) representatives in the Financing for Development negotiations; and (2) improved public outreach and communications on Financing for Development.
