Project Description

The purpose of this project is to further the Minsk Accords by bringing together senior stakeholders and decision makers at the international national and local levels to address issues of common concern. The goal is to facilitate discussions regarding security political arrangements economic relations ecological risks and reconciliation. The project aims to build greater trust and confidence amongst the parties in an effort to find a lasting and sustainable resolution to the armed conflict in Eastern Ukraine. The Government of Canada remains committed to support Ukraine as it pursues a reform-oriented policy agenda necessary for building a secure stable and prosperous country.

Expected Results

The expected outcome for this project is to facilitate and contribute to international efforts at finding a lasting and sustainable solution to the armed conflict in Eastern Ukraine which began in 2014.
