Project Description
This is one of the projects that make up the United Nations' 2012 Consolidated Appeal Process for the West Bank and Gaza. The initiative aims to help the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in its advocacy efforts for vulnerable populations in the West Bank and Gaza and in coordinating an effective humanitarian response to the protracted crisis that Palestinians face. Activities include: chairing coordinating meetings sharing and collecting data to inform response planning developing emergency and contingency response plans and maintaining dialogue with national authorities.
Expected Results
The expected intermediate outcomes for this project include: strengthened humanitarian action in the West Bank and Gaza including strengthening gender analysis ensuring timely information management and monitoring monitoring to improve aid effectiveness and results-based reporting and improving the effectiveness of aid efforts through coordination and dialogue with development and national partners.
