Project Description

CIDA’s contribution to this project has helped the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) generate quick improvements in the lives of refugees in Gaza following the Israeli withdrawal in 2005.

Progress & Results Achieved

Results as of the end of the project include: 12 256 Palestinians received temporary employment that amounted to 340 208 work days; 717 shelters housing 927 families were rehabilitated; and 1 122 loans were provided to Palestinian refugees.
