Project Description

This program seeks to improve access to financial services to the economically active rural populations in Ghana and in Mozambique as to improve their living conditions. This is being achieved by strengthening the operational and managerial capacity of two microfinance institutions (MFIs) in these two countries. These two institutions expand their distribution channels of microfinance services to wider populations and markets which enables them to improve their capacity to provide a broad range of sustainable and technology-driven financial services. The economically active rural and women populations are the targets of this program. This program primarily benefits a total of 36 000 new loan clients and 90 000 new savings clients. 85% of these clients are expected to be women microentrepreneurs in rural areas.
