Project Description

The aim of this project is to offer eight journalism fellowships of a CAN$ 6 000 value each over a two-year period (February 2011 May 2011 October 2011 and April 2012). . The fellowships are intended for members of the Fédération professionnelle des journalistes du Québec. Successful applicants are chosen by an independent jury and are given the opportunity to report to the Canadian public on the realities lived in developping countries benefiting from Canadian public aid. To be eligible professional journalists must submit a project on one of the following themes : good governance health primary education private sector development environmental sustainbility or gender equality. Candidates must define the international development issue they want to tackle and the reasons that motivate them.
