Project Description

This project aims to increase the awareness understanding and engagement of Canadian youth in international development issues and programs. It aims to accomplish this by: training selected youth (six in total over three years) in CIDA’s priorities as related to the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) and Canadian development efforts in Ghana; giving the trained youth an opportunity to travel to Ghana and produce media (174 stories in total 87 per year) related to the MDG’s and Canadian development efforts in Ghana; and publishing and showcasing the media produced by the youth across multiple platforms (online print speaking engagements photo exhibits etc.) to engage as many other youth as possible (165 638 total reach) in international development issues.
