Project Description

The goal of the project is to increase active awareness and global citizenship in support of Canada’s contributions to the development of a more secure equitable and prosperous world. This is achieved through the establishment of a network of organizations and individuals with an interest in diaspora-driven development. Informed by the findings of an environmental scan of current Diaspora-driven activities the network guides the project through a variety of components including meetings a listserv a Facebook group and other relevant means such as Twitter or blogs. The project reaches across the country through these social media mechanisms as well as through webcasting of public events.
