Project Description

This project seeks to raise awareness about human rights among indigenous youth in Santa Cruz Bolivia so that they take on significant leadership roles in the promotion of human rights in their communities. It is expected during the course of the project that over 1 200 indigenous youths including 10 facilitators (ages 18-22) gain a deep understanding about human rights and the situation of the rights of indigenous people across Bolivia. These objectives aim to be achieved by engaging youth in informal educational community activities and collective action which are designed based on the proponent organization's learning model that uses cultural awareness as a means to educate indigenous youth about human rights.
