Project Description

Through this project the Maharashtra Seva Samiti Organization and its local partner trains poor farmers' children aged 15 to 17 of Osmanabad district in new and appropriate farming techniques to improve their income and increase employment. Osmanambad is one of the poorest rural districts of Maharashtra State. The project supports a regional agricultural school established by an Indian non-governmental organization that offers a vocational training program by providing adequate educational buildings and appropriate teaching employment guidance and staff. The school program is integrated in the educational system of the country and is linked to several governmental schemes to support the students and graduates. This is one of two components of a project valued at $384 591.
