Project Description

This project is based on two approaches. The first is a public education campaign to inform women and children about basic ownership and inheritance rights in response to the trend of property grabbing by male relatives of deceased husbands and fathers. The second approach mitigates the effects of property grabbing on households that become overcrowded with orphaned and vulnerable children. The project includes research public awareness activities and also involves the construction of small additions to houses small huts and latrines. This is one of two components of a project valued at $336 616.
