Project Description
With CIDA support the ICRC focuses on addressing the needs of civilians affected by the civil unrest armed violence and drought and on helping separated family members restore or maintain contact. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent receives support in reinforcing its operational capacities notably in the fields of emergency response and first aid. Specific interventions includes the provision of food water and sanitation medical support shelter and protection.
Expected Results
The expected immediate outcomes are that 50 000 vulnerable people are provided with essential household items to help them set up temporary shelters or re-establish their homes; and water and sanitation facilities serving some 300 000 people are upgraded or maintained.
