Project Description

The Active Learning Network for Accountability and Performance in Humanitarian Action (ALNAP) has been a leading voice for the more rigorous application of learning and evaluation processes across the humanitarian sector. Canada's support for the ALNAP 2011-2012 Workplan contributes to the organization’s efforts to identify key problems build consensus on common approaches and solutions and share lessons learned thereby improving the quality of humanitarian action and the accountability of humanitarian actors system-wide.

Expected Results

Expected outputs include: Publication of the 2012 State of the Humanitarian System report dissemination of lessons learned papers on key humanitarian responses enhancement of the Evaluation Report Database and development of an online urban disasters resource library. The expected intermediate outcome is the reduced vulnerability of crisis-affected people especially women and children.
