Floods in Burkina Faso - Plan International Canada 2009

Heavy and persistent seasonal rainfall in late August and early September 2009 throughout the country has affected an estimated 150 000 people. CIDA's contribution supports Plan International Canada to reduce the short-term impact of the floods through the provision of emergency shelter and non-food items such as mats blankets buckets and water containers to up to 9 000 households with special focus on children women and other vulnerable groups.
