Project Description
Heavy and persistent seasonal rainfall in late August and early September 2009 throughout the country has caused flooding and affected an estimated 150 000 people. CIDA's contribution to UNICEF ensures the restoration of water and sanitation systems the promotion of health and hygiene practices and distribution of hygiene kits and the protection of the most vulnerable groups.
