Project Description

The Overseas Development Institute (ODI) is a leading independent think tank on international development and humanitarian issues. Its mission is to inspire and inform policy and practice which lead to the reduction of poverty the alleviation of suffering and the achievement of sustainable livelihoods in developing countries. ODI's Humanitarian Policy Group (HPG) is one of the world's leading teams of independent researchers and information professionals working on humanitarian issues. It is dedicated to improving humanitarian policy and practice through a combination of high-quality analysis dialogue and debate. Its integrated programme of research is organized around four core themes and is complemented by externally commissioned studies rapid response policy briefs networking with the Humanitarian Practice Network (HPN) and events. HPG also manages the journal 'Disasters'.
