Project Description
This project aims to establish a $250 000 stockpile of water and sanitation equipment at the humanitarian response depot in Dubai for use by Canada in response to regional emergencies. This stock is to be released within 24 to 48 hours at CIDA's request. To facilitate the rapid deployment of CIDA's stocks in an emergency situation the project also aims to establish a $100 000 standing fund that can be drawn down with the agreement of CIDA and the World Food Programme (WFP) to cover specific costs relating to procurement and distribution.
