Democratic Republic of Congo Health Care - CARE Canada 2008

Over the last year North Kivu has experienced renewed violence and insecurity and the population particularly Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) are in critical need of basic access to primary health care. The project improves access to health care for 50 000 persons in Rutshuri North Kivu including victims of sexual violence. Specific activities include: provision of medicine and medical material to 21 health centers awareness raising on sexual violence and support of community structures dealing with sexual violence.
