Project Description

The project contributes to economic recovery building institutional and leadership capacity and restoring human and social potential in conflict-affected countries. The Post-Conflict Fund facilitates World Bank programming in conflict-affected countries through a quick and flexible responsive financing mechanism to support innovative activities by governments and partner organizations. The Post-Conflict Fund contributes to ensuring that regular World Bank activities are sensitive to challenges encountered by conflict-affected countries. It also provides support in designing projects specific to conflict-affected countries taking into account the causes consequences and characteristics of the conflict and the transfer of lessons learned.
