Management Capacity Building - OHCHR 2008-2009

This project supports the implementation of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) Plan of Action which sets out the 2005-2010 priorities of the OHCHR. The objective of the Fund is to support initiatives identified or approved by the OHCHR that either strengthen management and planning capacity within OHCHR or strengthen and mainstream knowledge of key substantive human rights issues across OHCHR headquarters and field offices. This includes the enhancement of management systems improved strategic planning and providing human resources training aimed at senior management. The project is designed to expand knowledge in areas such as impunity issues poverty global inequalities (including gender issues) discrimination armed conflict and violence and democratic deficits.
