Project Description

The objective of the Pan American Health Organization's (PAHO) Programme on Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Relief (PED) is to reduce the health and social impact of natural technological and man-made disasters in Latin America. Specifically PAHO aims to strengthen disaster preparedness and mitigation initiatives throughout the region by building local capacity to address disasters and develop mitigation strategies. This project consists of two elements for a total project budget of $3 million (see M-012349-001)
